TEMPE, ARIZ. — The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) selected the Tempe, Ariz., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering and program/construction management organization, as the quarterly Consultant Champion for its commitment to the Arizona Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program.

ADOT seeks to recognize consultants that demonstrate leadership and commitment to fostering an environment of DBE inclusion in delivery of transportation projects throughout Arizona. The Tempe office of Parsons Brinckerhoff has forged effective working relationships with several DBE partners that have achieved the objectives of the DBE program and led to successful project delivery.

“Frank Medina and his team in the Tempe office of Parsons Brinckerhoff have been solid supporters of ADOT's DBE program as it has evolved over the past two years,” said Melissa Boyles, ADOT Civil Rights administrator. “They partner with us in good faith by providing DBE opportunities on projects with and without goals, contribute to the resolution of barriers to entry by participating in DBE task force meetings, and volunteer to help resolve issues through ad-hoc working groups. The ADOT Civil Rights Office has come to count on Frank and his team to provide industry perspective and is appreciative of their ongoing support”

The projects for which Parsons Brinckerhoff was cited by ADOT include management consultant for the I-17 and SR 303L freeway corridors, the I-10 widening from State Route 87 to Picacho Peak traffic interchange and the SR 260 Heber to Show Low Design Concept Report.
